Welcome!! We are a church family participating in the mission of God’s kingdom in Seattle, gathering weekly at Miller Community Center, 10am on Sunday's.
Our desire is to seek the heart of God in the heart of Seattle, and we believe at the center of God’s heart is a desire to make peace through the transforming gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are a people that long for the real and lasting peace of God in our lives, our communities, our city, and our world. And we believe this lasting peace comes through the person and work of Jesus. How?
Through Jesus, God has made a way for us to have peace with Him. When Jesus died on a cross, he was actually dying an innocent man, in fact, he was God in human form. And when he died, he was dying in our place, for all the wrong we have done, so that we could have peace with God. This was God’s way of making things right between Him and us. When we accept what Jesus did on the cross, we immediately have eternal life and peace with our Creator. This is really good news!
Jesus also instituted a whole new way of relating to each other, the way of radical forgiveness and reconciliation. In Jesus, God was forgiving us, not condemning us. So we believe it’s through Jesus that we can begin to have tangible peace in our relationship with others.
And then finally, we believe that God wants to continue to reach out to people, all kinds of people, and bring this message of hope and peace to them. He wants people to come home to Him, and be reconciled. His work doesn’t stop with us, but continues on through us.
So that’s a bit of who we are. (For a detailed doctrinal statement click here.) We are a work in progress, seeking to enter in to the brokenness of our world, the same way Jesus did, with a message of hope, not to pick a fight, but to heal, not to lord over, but to serve under.
If you want to join us, we would love to have you be a part. Come visit us any Sunday, or fill out our contact form and you’ll receive our monthly newsletter. You can also shoot us an e-mail, email@example.com, and we’ll get right back to you.
God bless, and we look forward to what God has for us and our great city of Seattle!
